MCCRS for Mathematics Structure

The Revised Maryland College and Career Ready Standards (MCCRS) for Mathematics are organized into a clear and consistent structure that supports coherent instruction across all grade levels, PreK - Integrated Algebra. Each grade's or course's standards are grouped into four domains that reflect key areas of mathematical focus and align to the Numeracy Development Framework: Number and Operation Sense (NOS), Algebraic Thinking (AT), Geometric Reasoning (GR), and Reasoning with Data and Statistics (DS). Within each domain, the standards are further broken down into clusters, which are groups of related standards that represent significant mathematical ideas and learning progressions.

How to Read the MCCRS for Mathematics Crosswalk

The revised standards are presented in Crosswalk documents that compare the new standards with previous versions, highlighting shifts in content and instructional focus.
